Overview

For sale is an exceptional piece of aviation history: the North American T-28B Trojan "Air Bear" (Mfg. 1955, s/n 138238). This aircraft is a Multiple Award Winner and a Former Oshkosh Grand Champion. It was proudly awarded the Oshkosh 2006 "Best T-28" Award and the "Silver Wrench Award". The airplane is in show-quality, excellent condition.

Airframe

850 Hrs since total restoration by Great American Aircraft.

Engine & Propeller

Engine: Wright Cyclone R-1820-86B, 1425 hp.
Engine Time: 778 Hrs SMOH by Aircraft Cylinder & Turbine with 2nd order counterweight.
Propeller: Hamilton Standard 43D50 with mirror finished hub and "Super B" blades.
Prop AD 81-13-06 R2 complied with July 2026 by MT-Propeller.

Exterior & Interior

Exterior: Overall gloss Dark Blue with U.S. Navy VF-153 markings. Show quality polyurethane, excellent condition.
Interior: Overall gloss Light Gray with Black glare shield and fabric seat cushions. Hooker Harnesses installed, show quality, excellent condition.
